December 2001

Starting off with the bodywork. Tyga Performance was called upon for their experience in custom NSR bodywork kits and accessories. The unique TYGA EYES upper cowl is based on the NSR 150SP but designed to fit NSR 250 models and retain the stock lower cowl. The headlights and screen are borrowed from the 150SP as well. 87K - Click for full size image

The bodywork is all ABS and not fiberglass. This bodywork is the original bodywork that the original molds were taken from. Custom stickers and Repsol paint applied by Tyga with coats of clear give the bike a stunning finish.
A complete front end from a Honda RS 250 racer was custom fit to Chris's NSR. The guys at Tyga also helped out with this conversion. Modifying all the RS suspension components to work on the NSR for a factory style look. The radiator filler cap was relocated and the factory NSR Magtek wheel was retained. The fork inners were Titanium Nitrated for reduced friction and look fantastic with the gold colored coating. 85K - Click for full size image

A custom made front cowl stay tucked away gives this NSR the appearance of a floating upper cowl. It was fabricated by Motomorphic, a custom and race prep performance motorcycle shop in California. 66K - Click for full size image
60K - Click for full size image Motomorphic was also responsible for fitting the Under front triple clamp steering damper from a Aprilia RS 250 Cup bike. Lightweight clip on race handle bars save precious grams and offer a better racing position.
The pipes on this wild NSR are Tyga Performance pipes but were modified by Motomorphic for a wild GP500 look by re-routing them to the right side. Tires are Dunlop 207GP's but Michelin Pilots will replace these very soon. 34K - Click for full size image

Tyga Performance silencers are made of Carbon Kevlar for reduced weight and look amazing. Chris's NSR really looks like a factory works racer.

Tyga now sells GP500 style pipes very similar to these pipes that provide full power.

You can never have enough brakes, and with Chris going wild on building this bike, ordinary was a word that was out of question. Galfer Wave front discs with Galfer brake pads look incredible and allow unbelievable braking with the Brembo calipers, stainless brake lines front and rear finish off the brakes. 105K - Click for full size image
103K - Click for full size image With the ultra trick RS 250 upside down forks, Chris needed something in the back to balance it out. So a 5 way adjustable Penske Racing rear shock was purchased. The chassis was inspected by Motomorphic and Magtek wheels from Tyga complete the package.
Chris really wants to thank the guys at Tyga Performance for all their help and support in this project. Chris has even more wild plans for this bike in the future. Stay tuned for more on that later !! 86K - Click for full size image
