Here
are the latest pictures of my MC28 NSR with the new Jha RS Force 304 stainless
pipes with titanium silencers. What a difference !! Check out the small
diary section below for more pics, dyno run specs and more.

I really like
the new pipes. I spent about two days polishing them up to a nice shiny
finish. Installation was not too bad and Jha supplied a bracket and
spacer kit for use with the stock cowlings.

The
front forks are from a 1995 Honda RS250 and were completely overhauled
by Japan's top suspension tuning shop called Sculderia Okumura. They Ti-Nitrated
the inner tubes, the outer tubes were Kashima coated for reduced inner
friction and unique bronze coloring, the forks were revalved, rebuilt
and resprung for my weight and to work properly with the NSR's suspension
geometry. |
| Brakes
were updated with Brembo billet race calipers and are a special "Japan
only" limited edition run complete with titanium pistons, through
bolts and pad retainers that bite floating wave style discs from Braking
for absolute unbelievable braking performance. One finger braking has
been truly accomplished and the feeling is amazing !! |

Another
view of the Jha RS Force 304 pipes from behind. The outlets of the silencers
point inward slightly. The custom seat is from Tyga, rear carbon fiber
hugger fender from Magical Racing, sprockets from AFAM with a D.I.D gold
chain. Mag-Tek wheels powder coated gold and wrapped with Dunlop GPR 70SP
tires. |
Still
waiting on my steering damper. It was sent out to be overhauled and have
the inner tube Ti-Nitrated to match my RS250 forks.

Other
goodies are the TSR 4 position adjustable rear sets, Penske race shock,
Sansei Racing carbon fiber clip ons, Magical Racing carbon fiber mirrors
and one-off iridium coated bubble screen. Brakes are enhanced with Earls
braided lines all around and a Brembo radial pump master cylinder, plus
a few other parts here and there.

| Top
view shows the RS triples that are polished to a mirror finish. Most of
the suspension parts were replaced with new parts and anodized to match
the rest of the parts, A custom billet 1/4 turn throttle kit was installed.
A one off custom upper cowl stay bracket was made up out of lightweight
aluminum and polished to a mirror finish to help out with steering clearance.
The rad filler cap was modified a bit and new turn stoppers were drilled
in to the lower triple. Not big enough

 |
| The
shop that made the one off custom aluminum stay will make a batch of them
if we can get a minimum order of 20 units. They weigh half that of the
stock upper cowl stay bracket, look much better and the price should be
around 78 US Dollars if we can get 20 people to order together. Mine is
the prototype and would look just like mine if any MC28 owners are interested.
Please e-mail me if you are interested. Serious people only please, thanks
!! I will have more pictures coming soon. |

Welcome
to my Website dedicated to the NSR !! This is my own personal ride, a
not so stock 1995 NSR 250R SE. I am always working on my NSR and finding
ways to perfect it more. |
| My
NSR started life as a SE model which included the dry clutch and adjustable
suspension front and rear. My favorite colors have always been the world
famous Rothmans Racing colors, but I just could not wait to get my first
NSR 250 SP model so instead I bought a very clean SE model from the original
owner and my friend which was in perfect shape, all original and very
well priced. |
 |
 |
After
a while the eventual happened and I had a minor traffic accident. I was
bumped off the road by a reckless Taxi driver. He was at fault and his
insurance covered my new bodywork. At that time I decided to upgrade to
all new factory original SP bodywork in my favorite colors, Rothmans Racing. |
| The
only bodywork on my bike that is not stock is the rear seat cowl. This
is a very lightweight and strong one piece unit made by Tyga Performance.
The guys at Tyga custom painted the seat to perfectly match the rest of
the factory bodywork. The rear brake light was also purchased from Tyga
and I custom made an adjustable bracket so I can adjust the brake light
with ease. |
 |
 |
The
front fender is from Corin Motors with their RS type fender. It required
some work to make it fit and will be replaced soon with a real RS250 fender
once I install my new RS250 inverted forks. Future plans will see new
bodywork on my NSR, either carbon fiber bodywork custom painted or the
new Silhouette Japan bodywork painted in Rothmans. The Magical Racing
mirrors are made of real carbon fiber. They are fully polished to a perfect
finish with billet adapters. The mirror lens is a high quality German
made GSG-DP blue lens with UV reduction and offers a much more wider view
than the stock NSR mirrors which really do leave a lot to be desired.
These mirrors are the ultimate mirrors for your bike. |
| This
screen is a prototype from Magical Racing and sadly never went into production.
It is chemically coated with various layers and offers increased safety
with this extremely reflective surface. Look how the print of the carbon
fiber mirrors reflect in the screen. This is the only screen of it's kind
in the world. |
 |
 |
The
beautiful Dog Fight Millennium race pipes moments before I installed them
on my NSR 250R SE/SP. What a difference !! The entire DFR kit weighs less
then one stock pipe. |
| The
biggest gain of performance comes with changing the heavy and restrictive
stock exhaust system. I called on Dog
Fight Racing for their expertise and race experience to supply me
with the latest Millennium edition type racing pipes for my NSR. The quality
is unbelievable and they lock to each other for a secure fit with out
any movement of the pipes while in motion. The torque curve is fat and
great for city riding with plenty of high end power. |
 |
 |
The
second way to derestrict the MC28 is with the HRC card. I have now ordered
a 030 card (010 and 020 are no longer available) I plan to modify the
stock wire harness to work with that. I use the stock airbox with a slightly
modified cover, a Daytona Turbo Air filter with stock carbs and a JHA
carb setting kit. Other power goodies are the HRC reed valves, spacers
and stuffers for better engine response, a HRC center mounted cylinder
head kit was installed and power is handled by a TSR F.C.C heavy duty
clutch kit. |
| At
the moment my engine internals are pretty much stock, but that will all
change someday. I recently overhauled my gearbox with a mix of HRC gearbox
parts, stock parts and i-Factory SPL Shift Drum center and SPL stopper
spring for flawless gearbox action. |
 |
 |
Brakes
on my NSR have been improved with a Brembo radial pump master cylinder.
This is one of the best upgrades I have done yet and really felt a huge
difference in the feeling and and overall braking performance. Click
here or on the picture for more about the Brembo conversion. Front
brake lines are Earls stainless mesh lines fitted to the stock Nissin
calipers (for now) with Ferrodo Sport pads. |
| The
latest model steering damper from WP was added. Twin tube nitrogen gas
version with 25 point variable adjustment for unbelievable smooth action.
WP is one of the finest manufactures around and has been giving Ohlins
a run for their money lately. |
 |
 |
Other
improvements to my NSR are the addition of SP forks with their convenient
tension quick finger adjusters, TSR preload adjusters, Sansei Racing aluminum/mag
colored quick release clip ons, various titanium and colored aluminum
bolts, TSR stem shaft nut and more..... |
| These
rear sets from TSR - Technical
Sports Racing are literally works of art !! They are precision machined
from the finest aluminum to a beautiful mirror finish. The quality of
these rear sets is unbelievable, by far the finest rear set kit I have
ever seen for the NSR. Though they are a little on the expensive side,
they are the ultimate rear sets money can buy. Riding position is adjustable
in 4 different patterns with a rear micro switch that replaces your spring
that is prone to fall off at times. |
 |
 |
A
carbon fiber rear fender from Magical Racing replaces my stock MC28 chain
guard and looks great. The carbon pattern is perfect with a nice clear
coat. Future plans will see a new type rear fender from Magical Racing
coming soon. |
| Since
I had SP forks and SP bodywork, why not add Mag-Tek wheels to bring my
SE up to full SP specs. So a front Mag-Tek from Tyga and a rear Mag-Tek
from a friend were purchased and powder coated in gold, fitted with new
Dunlop GPR 70SP tires. Afam sprockets and a DID Gold chain were added
too. Other little extras are a Tyga rear steel brake line, clear turn
signals and billet rear wheel spacer kit from Posh. The cool Pro-Arm one
touch stand is from Battle Factory and is so easy to use. |
 |
 |
So
that is about all for my NSR right now. Major things will be going on
this year with a new Penske rear shock, inverted RS forks and massive
brakes....stay tuned for more on my NSR parts addiction !! |
