I met Hiroshi at a spring NSR meeting near Tokyo. He had an all original 1995 SP model in the very cool older HRC racing colors. He is the original owner of the bike and keeps this NSR in pristine condition. 143K - Click for full size image
130K - Click for full size image It is hard to believe this bike is 10 years old, but it is. Over the last 10 years of ownership Hiroshi has done a lot of upgrades and modifications.
Most of the mods or upgrades were added as the OEM parts started to wear out or needed replacing. Hiroshi decided to use top quality after market parts for improved performance and to give his NSR a look that stood out from other NSR bikes. First thing was to replace the suspension that was in need of an overhaul. Japans top suspension shop, Okumura Scuderia took care of the front SP forks. They were completely rebuilt with custom springs and revalved. The inner tubes were Ti-nitrate coated for smoother operation and cool gold looks, the outer lower tube was KASHIMA coated, this is a special coating that helps performance a bit and also looks nice too with the outer bronze coating. The rear shock was replaced with an Ohlins rear shock and set up by a local race shop for one incredible handling NSR 80K - Click for full size image

The interesting three spoke mag wheel is made by Dymag and belonged to a Honda RC30 (VFR750) but fits the MC28 Proarm with no problems. Hiroshi runs a 160 tire on the back and stock size up front. Tires are Pirelli Dragons. The cool rearsets are 4 position adjustable ones from TSR. 147K - Click for full size image

Mirrors were replaced with the latest ones from Magical Racing and have bendable joints, the bubble screen is also from Magical Racing as well. Hiroshi had his seat cushion upholstered in Black suede for a cool look and says it is a lot more comfortable to ride.
The top triple clamp was fully polished, carbon fiber meter cover added, practically every bolt on this NSR has been replaced with alloy or titanium bolts. An Ohlins steering damper adds confidence when Hiroshi is riding hard. AFAM sprockets, Gold Chain, steel braided lines, clear turn signal lens covers and a custom rear brake hose/chain guard eliminator kit are other extras as well. 170K - Click for full size image
