53K - Click for full size November 2001 Bike of the Month belongs to Anhtuan Tran of California. He rides a very nice 1995 NSR 250R SE model.

The bike was ordered from Tyga Performance and delivered into California. A former racer in the Thailand 250 series, it was originally owned and raced by Castrol so naturally this NSR was painted in Castrol Racing colors.

32K - Click for full size Anhtuan raced the bike for a short time in the C.M.R.R.A. FORMULA INSANE class at Street of Willow where he placed second. The NSR was converted back to road legal status and retired from racing. Super lightweight race bodywork from Tyga Performance custom painted with full decals by GP Station give this NSR a really unique look. Custom A.P.C. LED brake lights fit into the duct of the Tyga Tail with a custom bracket proudly made by Anhtuan himself.
The engine of this NSR was rebuilt by Matt Patterson of Tyga Performance. Nothing was over looked or spared. The engine makes over 65 horsepower with out any loss of reliability. Tyga Pipes, HRC 010 card, modified HRC wire loom, full HRC carburetor kit with K and N individual filters complete derestriction. 55K - Click for full size
31K - Click for full size Anhtuan enjoys taking his NSR out for high speed runs in the local twisties. Therefore he needed a rebuilt and tweaked suspension along with other performance goodies including a 120 mm Ohlins steering damper, Coerce front fork brace and Dunlop 207 GP race compound tires.
Other improvements are a front Brembo master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines, sport pads, quick adjusters for the front forks, Vortex clip on handle bars, SIGMA bicycle speedometer, carbon fiber mirrors from Lockhart Phillips and a lightweight racing screen. 63K - Click for full size

Anhtuan has a few more plans for his NSR and really enjoys opening it up on some of the fabulous winding mountain roads in California where he lives and rides with all other kinds of sport bike riders and friends. 54K - Click for full size
